Using Ebay To Obtain Sales

In the Internet Marketing field we ALL take the mick out of marketers that sell information products on Ebay. I know I used to regularly be the victim of those jokes. We have always believed the same that Ebay makes your product look cheap and tacky and completely looses its value. After all how many cheap e-books are sold on Ebay for less than £2.00.

There are far too many to go into great detail about – you could probably do a search on Ebay and find way over 1,000 different ones.

Before I carry on I used to be one of them until the autumn of 2005 when I realised that the Ebay fees were simply too much of an annoying outgoing.

I used to find niches on Ebay that everyone else was oblivious to and I was one of the first to sell products for a penny on Ebay but it was all about Internet Marketing.

When I sold an E-Book for a penny I could VERY easily sell over 1,000 a week and it was my starting point for building up my mailing list. When I sent out the customers order via email download I would offer them some extra products for free in exchange for opting in. In general one in five would join up (20%) and many are still on my list today.

The penny auction was also rather popular with sellers too! When you join Ebay as a seller it doesn’t look good that you have zero feedback so sellers would buy about 10 different products from the low auctions and use the feedback from those sales to get them a good reputation.

One of my other gems was selling the Cabbage Soup Diet and at £6.99 a go I was laughing even though now it is over done at the usual £1.99. I’m just using this as an example there are many, many more niches to be had on Ebay its just a case of secretly looking for them just like I have.

Let’s get on to the best bit!

Ebay trying to cut down on the large quantity of information products sold on Ebay recently banned automatic download for their sellers. The way the sellers have got around this is by selling the downloadable media on CD or DVD instead. But we all know the amount of content that we can place on a CD these days is it really worth it!

After all why sell a copy of a Police Auction guide on a CD on its own?

What would the environmental Secretary have to say about it?

Well there are an awful amount of Ebayers selling just that right now on Ebay. What if you could go to them and offer them a solution.

I have personally been contacting sellers for weeks now offering them the opportunity to cash in on it. Say you have your own viral e-book or report that you can offer for free in exchange to fantastic exposure back to you. You see every time a new person buys off Ebay they will also receive your new product on the same CD and when they read they then go on to either visit your website or join your mailing list.

Now that is a result!

I don’t have a sellers account anymore as I don’t need one all I do is buy things from Ebay for personal use. I also have a fantastic about me page with links to my websites and affiliate links. I regularly contact ten different Ebayers a week and offer my products for free in exchange to feature on their CD.

The best bit is they always say YES!

They are always thankful and can’t believe they are getting up to date content to their customers for free after all many are selling E-Books that are four years old!

In affect this is completely free advertising or selling of your products without having to list anything or pay any sellers fees – what more could you want?

This loophole though isn’t going to be available forever sellers are soon going to get wise and start selling space on their discs and who could blame them – if I was selling on Ebay I would.

So any sellers reading this that sell on Ebay – why don’t you sell space on your discs via Internet Marketing Forums or your About Me Page after all it is FREE advertising and you have nothing to loose.

What if you sold 10 spaces a week on the grounds that it would be included in 50 CDs at £30 a go that would earn you an extra £300 per week for doing nothing!

Also think about the wonderful feedback you will receive for their “bonus e-books” it would be amazing!

Think about the difference it could make either as the seller or the E-Book owner!

Why not upgrade?

Ive just upgraded my merry christmas giveaway account for $17!

I have recently taken part in a free Thanksgiving giveaway as a customer wanting free E-Books and I must say that in general I was not disappointed.

One of the many secrets of SEO – Part 1

Social Bookmarking has become part of the future of Internet Marketing. I must admit at first I was VERY sceptical about it myself but I have now bitten the bullet and joined the club too and I have never looked back. It has the ability to place you high in SEO pretty much straightaway and that to me is a REAL GEM!

There is often debates about whether Social Bookmarking (SB) or SEO is the most important but to me they both flow into on another. The general thought is why bother marketing you website with one and not the other its like having a wash and not using any soap it just wouldn’t work would it?

Websites can not do without SEO and at the same time a website cant be marketed without SB it would be seriously unhealthy. Like in SEO there are now many products and services that will allow you to do your own SB. Every time a website is bookmarked that site then has an inbound link. Through these SB sites users can vote or rate these websites and if your site is good you will soon be at the top. This can cause lots of traffic and create enhanced link building.

You can also supplement SB with SEO

SEO is often tie with bookmarking as if good bookmarking is created your SEO is then enhanced. There is often a discussion about which of the two is most important but those involved always say you can’t have one without the other. Those that have built websites since SB became popular have stated that there site has ranked better rather than before.

SEO is mainly used via important keywords that relate to that particular website and is optimised via the search engines that spider it. Through the bookmarking those websites are receiving extra links to the SEO.

Social Media Marketing Websites are all a part of Web 2.0 platform and search engines are partial to these sites. So if your bookmarking gets a good rating this then follows on to provide you with a good SEO Ranking. Social Sites are excellent for creating fantastic quality ranking just from a couple of links. For online businesses that are on the verge of launching their website business instead of waiting for google to rank them they post clips onto sites like you tube or make a profile onto sites like facebook and start the link building process. This not only helps in huge traffic generation benefits but also gets your message out there.

AND ITS FAST!

There are rules on these sites such as no spamming but in general if you post good quality information you shouldn’t have a problem whatsoever!

I always listen to what my affiliates want!

I am ALWAYS looking into new ways to improve the service that i offer my affiliates and I’ve just launched my latest idea.

I’ve always been asked “why clickbank” or “i live in England and i’m sick of waiting for my cheque”.

Well I believe that I have the answer!

I’ve created two seperate websites for my affiliate products. That may sound complicated but it really isn’t. The domain names are nearly the same except for one vital thing. Clickbank runs on .com and Paydotcom runs on .co.uk.

It really is that simple!

If you think about it Paydotcom uses PayPal rather a lot so you can easily set it up to pay your affiliates on a more regular basis into their PayPal account.

Where as others don’t mind waiting for a cheque through clickbank.

I also pay my Paydotcom affiliates every 24 hours when they opt to receive their income through PayPal.

If for example you have money worries how great would it be if you could create your own free marketing campaign and within 24 hours have the money sat their in your paypal account.

That would be an amazing result!

As an affiliate i promote products on both websites and find that we all have different needs.

As a product owner i would say even if it takes you an extra hour it is worth the workload to double your exposure.

Don’t forget if you do this you will be advertising your products on the 2 biggest and best affiliate networks on the internet.

Double the exposure = Double the profit

Remember i offer 60% commission to all my affiliates!

What about PLR?

I’m sure many of you of my Blog by now are very keen on the idea of Private Label Rights. They are a perfect source to provide us with instant content that we have editorial rights to. I bought my first PLR product in the spring of 2005 and I haven’t looked back since. They are particularly good when you are a newbie and you want your own product out very quickly. I’ve just put together a report about PLR products in order to help you understand it a bit better or to help you take it to the next level if you feel you haven’t mastered it as much as you would like!

Becoming a success

One of the key points to be aware of as an Internet Marketer is to have your own products. Without your own you will NEVER be able to create a viral marketing scheme or add numbers to your mailing list as quickly. Plus if you are selling somebody else’s product you are benefiting them not yourself.

 

Why would you want to do that?

 

The answer is you wouldn’t out of choice. Its just that the effort involved in creating and publishing feels like too much effort. However there is an easy alternative. You should seriously consider Private Label Rights as unlike Master resale rights you have the right to the by line. You can freely call it your own product and alter it to whatever you like. For example you could just change the name and have it out and sent to clickbank for approval within an hour.

 

It REALLY is that simple!

Dinner in the Algarve

When you work online within the IM Business how often do you get interrogated by people asking what you do and how much money you earn. I’m sure you could think of at least twenty examples of just that. I often find that those that have a fat pension look down on you and those with less money than you find it very hard to believe you.

 

How do you explain what you do to people that have NEVER heard of internet marketing? – I’d love to hear your views!

 

I’ve recently moved to The Algarve so that as a family we can enjoy our lives a little better and escape the hassles of England. The other evening I was out for dinner with my parents, another couple and a couple I’d never met before. The new couple that I’ve never met before asked me several questions about my income and I still felt that firstly they didn’t understand at all what I did and secondly that I was below them because even though I have a fantastic degree I was still way below them in class.

 

I was waiting for them to say that I would NEVER make a living online or I want to see your bank statements when my mum gave a brilliant line for what we do. She said my daughter “creates Electronic learning books for others” after all when we knock it down this is exactly what we do. I’ll defiantly remember this for when I next have too much wine and I’m involved in another one of these awkward situations.

 

The truth is we are all noisy and as soon as you touch on the subject “I work on the internet” everybody wants to know exactly what we do. If I had said we run a bar in The Algarve there faces would have lit up. But the truth is why you would want that. Why would I want to work at least 6 days a week in a saturated market for very little rewards?

 

The truth is I’m very happy with what I do and even though I put in effort when I’m launching a new product the rest of the time I take it easy and enjoy quality of life with my husband and seven year old son.

 

When I get hassled by others about what I do for a living I simply remember that there is a lot of money to be made on the internet. This is a true fact otherwise why are all these international companies going to the effort of putting their businesses online?

 

I used to sell an awful amount of items on EBay and pay their ridiculous sellers fees until I saw sense. But if I was doing this now least you can say “I sell books on EBay” and that would be that – but at the end of the day I’d rather make a serious income.

 

The truth is I will never let these types of people bring me down after all if they want to slave away working 9 to 5 plus overtime then let them.

 

After all I KNOW who the real winner will be!

 

We deserve BETTER   than this and I believe they call it FREEDOM!

 

Remember just stay silent and secretly build your empire of income streams!
